Typhoon Kaemi

The monsoon season is in full swing. Thypoon Kaemi created strong winds and caused flooding near my apartment. More than a foot of water covered the streets and winds of 80 mph and gusts near 100 mph occured off the coast of Manila. This caused financial markets, government offices and school closings. The typhoon made landfall in the southeasten coast of China.

Arrival in Manila

Well I survived the 20.5 hour plane ride (including layover time) to Manila which is a distance of 8571 miles and am trying to get adjusted to the 13 hour time difference and jetlag. My apartment is nice and am waiting for my things to arrive next week.
